I wrote a leadership book.
Then I wrote the same idea
as a children's book.
My ten-year-old understood it first.
What this work is about
We are always acting from a state.
The autopilot acts.
Presence acts too.
One moves from pattern.
The other moves from awareness.
The state from which we act shapes the world we experience.
"It's not about certainty.
It's about remaining available
while reality unfolds."
"The pause is not withdrawal.
It is preparation for
clearer participation."
"The quality of attention
changes the quality
of response."
Two books. One practice.
The Intelligence of Presence
A field guide for leaders navigating uncertainty. Built on neuroscience, fifteen years of coaching, and one trainable truth: the half-second before you react is where everything changes.
Read on KindleA Practice of Presence in Everyday Life
The same idea, illustrated. Written for a child — which turned out to be the clearest explanation of Presence Intelligence I've ever found. Inspired by an afternoon with my daughter Lucía.
Read on KindleThe same neuroscience — Default Mode Network, analysis as avoidance, the loop — drawn as a conversation between an avocado and a chili pepper. Because sometimes the clearest mirror is the funniest one.
The Default Mode Network — in action
The river doesn't force its way through rock. It stays in contact with it. Works with it. Finds the way through. Not despite the obstacle. With it. We are made of the same intelligence.
Presence Intelligence is not a technique. It's not a state of permanent calm. It is the capacity to notice what's actually happening — in you, and around you — before the autopilot takes over.
Presence does not make life predictable. It makes us more able to meet it.
The problem is rarely a lack of intelligence, effort, or intention.
It's that most leadership systems are designed for logic —
and humans don't run on logic alone.
About
I'm an ACTP Certified Executive Coach, MBA, and economist. I've worked with leaders across three continents — in boardrooms, startups, luxury hospitality, and everything in between — for fifteen years.
My work is grounded in neuroscience and in the conviction that the most important shift a leader can make is not strategic. It's relational — with themselves first, then with everyone else.
I live in Palma de Mallorca with my daughter Lucía, who is my Chief Inspirational Officer and the reason both of these books exist.
Notes on Presence Intelligence
Designed for clarity, not noise.
Receive notes →I work with a small number of leaders at a time. No intake form. No script. Just an honest conversation about where you are and whether I can actually help.
